I could never get over the Japanese work ethic. They sure did get a lot done in a day, but I really felt that their youth really missed out on a childhood. Always moving from one structured activity to another with just enough time to sleep. Still I’m sure it prepared them for a future as a Slaryman or Office Lady.
I’m sure glad I grew up in a culture with free weekends and summer holidays.
